Definition:

  • Behavior marked by respect and consideration for others (M-W)
  • Treating other people with respect, recognizing that all are made in God’s image and likeness (education in virtue)

Vices:

  • Excess: Stiffness, being overly formal in a given situation
  • Deficiency: Rudeness, selfishness, denying others their due respect

Holding the door for another person
